RTYO Friday Workshop/Recital Placement Auditions

  1. Placement Audition Attendees

    Placement auditions will be for youth who play wind and non-workshop instruments only. See list below:

  2. Placement Audition Times

    Youth will audition on a first come first serve basis between 6:00pm – 8:30pm on Friday, March 23, 2012. No scheduled times will be arranged, although it is recommended that youth arrive early.


  3. Placement Audition Music

    Wind instruments – Wind instrument players will sight-read music on site. Youth may also be asked to play a major scale (i.e. B-flat, F, C Concert)

    Non-Workshop Instruments – Please prepare a 3 minute hymn, gospel, or inspirational related piece of your choice. This selection, however, will be the piece performed for the Recital if selected. Suggested Pieces: Jesus Loves Me, He's Got the Whole World in His Hands, Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho, etc.


  4. Non-workshop Instruments Recital Participation

    There will only be five non-workshop youth instrument players selected to participate in Saturday's Recital at 2pm. Youth will be notified of their acceptance by 8:30pm that evening. These youth will not need to attend the workshop, but must complete the registration form and fee (lunch and t-shirt will then be supplied.)
